Who we are
Kinship Uniting Services Pty Ltd (ABN 91 677 788 475), trading as Kinship Uniting Services, is a registered NDIS provider and Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) provider based at 39 Victory Road, Colebee NSW 2761. We take your privacy seriously and handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
What we collect
To provide NDIS and aged care support, we may collect:
- Your name, address, phone number and email
- NDIS participant number, plan details and funding category, or My Aged Care referral details
- Health, disability and medical information relevant to your support — this is “sensitive information” under the Privacy Act and we handle it with extra care
- Emergency contact and next of kin details
- Information you provide through our website contact forms
How we collect it
We collect information directly from you, from a family member or advocate acting on your behalf, or from a referral source such as a Local Area Coordinator, support coordinator, hospital discharge planner or My Aged Care. We only collect what we need to provide safe, appropriate support.
Why we collect it
We use your information to plan and deliver your support, match you with the right worker, meet our obligations as a registered NDIS and CHSP provider, communicate with you about your services, and manage billing and funding claims.
Who we share it with
We may share relevant information with the support workers delivering your care, your NDIS Plan Manager (if you have one), the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, the Department of Health and Aged Care, and other health professionals involved in your care, where necessary and where permitted by law. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for marketing purposes without your consent.
Website and cookies
Our website uses Google Tag Manager and standard analytics tools to understand how the site is used. These tools may use cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Submitting one of our contact forms sends your details to our team by email and stores them in our systems for follow-up.
How we store and protect it
We store personal information securely and take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Access is limited to staff who need it to do their job.
Access and correction
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it’s wrong. Contact us using the details below and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.
Privacy complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your personal information, contact us first — we’ll do our best to sort it out. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
